1.
It takes a while for the video to
start playing when I choose to stream it. Why am
I seeing an empty black video for such a long
time?
Before the video can start start playing in your
browser, enough of the video file must first be
downloaded to temporary storage on your computer
to ensure uninterrupted play. Depending on the
speed of your connection and the Bitrate/Filesize
of the video file selected, buffering can be
quick or take several minutes. To optimize the
settings for fast play, select the lowest
Bitrate setting (1300kbps).
2. What
is the difference between the three BITRATE levels offered?
Our highest Bitrate level (4300Kbps)
offers the best possible playback quality, both
in picture and sound. A high-speed Cable
Modem/DSL internet is recommended for this
setting. Smaller Bitrates (2500Kbps, 1300Kbps)
are lower in picture and sound quality however
they happen to be better alternative for dial-up
or slow internet connection users. These lower
Bitrate videos will stream and download much
more quickly.
3. Can I save the videos to my computer?
Yes. Our videos are
meant to be downloaded to your computer for a lifetime of storage.
We actually recommend downloading the files to your computer to
observe the best possible play quality. |
4.
What video player must I use to play the videos?
Our videos will ONLY
play on relatively recent versions of
Microsoft Media Player. If your
Media Player is out-dated, you might be prompted to update. To
experience best quality and performance, we highly recommend
upgrading to the
latest version.
5.
Video files are not automatically playing (streaming)
in my browser window, how come?
The most common reason
for the non streaming of WMV videos is the out-dated browser or
Windows Media Player software. We recommend upgrading to the latest
version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (Download)
and the recent make of
Microsoft Media Player for the best
playback performance.
It is also possible that non-Windows Media Player software is set as
the default program to handle videos for your browser. To set the
defaults back to the WMP, please follow the directions either for
Internet Explorer or
Firefox. If all else fails,
Re-Installing Windows Media Player
fixes most default setting issues.
Rarely, high browser security settings are also responsible for
inability to stream videos. Please double check that your browser's
security level is set to moderate, and not high.
